Scholarship Information for Applicants
The San Antonio Branch offers scholarships to assist women in purchasing required text books. Applications will be received from both undergraduate and graduate students who are attending a college or university in Bexar County. The postmark deadline is February 11, 2012 for applicants to submit their name, address, telephone number, email address, a short essay, no longer than 120 words, on what their goals are, transcript demonstrating a grade point average of 3.0 (or the equivalent or better) and proof of requirement for text books. Every year this AAUW Branch awards several scholarships to local women pursuing various higher education degrees. The number of scholarships and their value will vary each year depending upon our fundraising and the amount our invested endowments earn. Briefly, below, are two types of scholarships we typically give.
Graduate Scholarships
The San Antonio Branch of the American Association of University Women offers scholarships to assist women in completing graduate degrees. Applications must be postmarked by February 11, 2012. Find more information about Graduate Scholarships here.
