What can AAUW do for You?
You belong in San Antonio's AAUW Branch if any of the following issues bother you...but you feel that you don't have the time or resources to do anything about them as an individual:
What you can do collectively through AAUW:
The education of girls, ensuring that all opportunities, including the areas of science and mathematics, are open to them, and the subsequent careers that are based upon these and other disciplines, and support of
Title IX for all students, girls and boys.

Advanced educational opportunities for all women and girls from kindergarden through graduate school.  This includes helping finance research by and for women focusing on issues important to women.

Elimination of job discrimination and other barriers based on gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability and class.  Equity is still an issue!

Making a non-partisan political difference in the areas of Public Policy.  That includes finance, Social Security, education, health, women's rights, and making sure women exercise their right to vote, and know where their elected officials stand on critical issues of importance to women.
This professional organization offers its busy members a variety of methods to continue their education,  and fellowship and network with their peers.  AAUW also offers an opportunity for leadership training, and a rare opportunity to "give back" to the community through various Branch activities.
